Humanity House for school children (10+ years) and students
The Humanity House has developed special programs for school children (10+ years) and students, to introduce them to issues relating to emergency relief and international humanitarian law. Activities include a visit to the impressive and insightful museum. Afterwards primary and secondary school children can play the Humanity Game, an interactive game about emergency aid. For bechalor and master students we offer a special program in partnership with the Red Cross on International Humanitarian Law.
Why visiting the Humanity House?
Although they may not realise it, school children and students are frequently confronted by humanitarian topics. Images of war and disaster are constantly on the news and in the media. And schools and clubs often organise campaigns to raise money for the victims of disasters. Some children may even know someone who was forced to flee a war zone.
At the Humanity House, pupils actively experience and discover what humanitarian aid and humanitarian law really mean. This new knowledge helps them to gain a better understanding of relief work, and might inspire them to take action themselves.
