International cities: New York vs. The Hague

Willem Post explains in his new book, ‘The Magic of New York’, the different factors of success that make New York the number one city of the world. What should the new mayor Bill de Blasio do to keep the magic alive? And what can international cities such as The Hague learn from New York? Willem Post will share his view on the success factors of New York, supported with interesting facts and need-to-visit places, and he will present his findings on how other cities can learn from the city of cities on their path to becoming a city that never sleeps.

About the speaker

Willem Post is specialised in American politics and foreign policy, and is one of the most requested U.S. expert from the Netherlands. He studied Modern American History and International Relations at Leiden University. He has worked as an U.S. specialist for several media-organisations, such as the NOS and BBC World. Willem Post is writer of six books about the political, historical and social developments in the United States of America, including ‘Obamaworld’ (2009).

His new book  ‘The Magic of New York’ will be sold this day for € 18,95 and Willem Post will be signing his books.
