Migration & Development: from the migrants’ position

Migration remains inadequately integrated into development frameworks. Public perceptions of migrants and migration are still often very negative. There is limited public understanding and appreciation of the contribution that migrants make to the development of their countries of origin and destination. Wyss highlights the migrants’ position in this debate.

In this Bread & Brains Lunch Lecture Martin Wyss will present us the core issues in the ongoing global debate on migration and development. While approaching the target date of the Millennium Development Goals, recommendations for post-2015 initiatives will be discussed.
